What Does a Successful Christian Life Look Like? (Philippians 2:12–17)

The service opens with testimonies thanking God for missionaries going to Africa, God’s help through personal trials and a difficult home sale, gratitude for the church’s children and a tie-dye event, and a reminder from a Sight & Sound visit about God’s faithfulness. Prayer is requested for Brother Lee’s mother-in-law “Bunny,” who may be having a heart attack, and praise is given for the speaker’s mother improving after a hospital visit. In the message from Philippians 2, the speaker challenges common, statistic-driven views of “success” and explains that true success is God producing His life through believers as they “work out” their salvation with reverence while God works in them. He urges intentional, radical Christianity that affects every area of life, shining as lights without murmuring, finishing faithfully, being willing to be poured out for Christ, and measuring success by faithfulness to God’s calling rather than visible outcomes.
